MULTIMOD©
Multi_Mod is a software devoted to the description of the Growth/Inactivation
Curves of seven homogeneous Groups of  microorganisms:

                                                       (1)  14   More common Bacterial Pathogens
                                                       (2)  10   Representative food spoilage organisms
                                                       (3)  14   Mesophiles
                                                       (4)    4   Thermopiles
                                                       (5)    7   Osmophiles
                                                       (6)  12   Psychrophiles/Psychrotrophs
                                                       (7)    9   Acidophils/Acidotrophs.

The Growth Curves are described on the ground of the Gompertz equation.
The user may choose the value of water activity [or NaCl %], pH,
Temperature and the starting cell concentration, under which the growth
curve of single microorganisms or one group of organisms should be
 outlined.

The growth curves of all the microorganisms belonging to a single Group
are displayed on a single screen, so that  the comparison among the growth
/inactivation behavior of single species of the group, as affected by changing water activity, Temperature, pH and the starting contamination level, can be done easy.

When the behavior of the growth curve of a single microorganism is
examined, as affected by changing aw, pH, Temperature or No, all the
curves of that microorganism are kept on the screen, together with the
chosen values of the selected parameters.

A zoom capability is provided to increase the details of the growth curves.
